Multitool Control

The Multitool Control screen allows you to manually control the Multitool toolhead specific functions.

Functions are as follows:

Z Move

Z move

The Z Move area has the same functionality as featured in the 'Manual Move' screen.

The Z Move area has one numeric input field which allows you to specify the distance up from zero. Tooli's Z-axis has a 10mm stroke - this means the tool can move up and down a maximum of 10mm. To put the tool to be fully enter '0' in the numeric input field and click the 'Move Z' button. To raise the tool fully to the top of it's stroke enter '10' in the numeric input field. Half way down would be '5' and so on.

The radio buttons are available to conveniently select commonly used increments that the user is likely to use when setting the tool height (more about this in the Tooli Operation section).

Rotary Tool button

Rotary Tool

Click this button to activate the Rotary Tool. Click again to deactivate.
Warning: the tool operates at high speed, ensure hands are clear and there is nothing obstructing the rotary toolhead.

When the tool is activated the button text will display in red. Click to deactivate.

Note: Typically you wouldn't need to change the Origin except for in special circumstances - for example; your GCode is set up to run in the front-left corner of the work area, but the subtrate has some imperfections on the front-left corner of the sheet which you don't wish to be in your artwork, in this instance you could change the Origin to X,100 Y,200 this would mean the job would be offset 100mm to the right and 200mm back from the front of the work area - avoiding the imperfections in the work surface.

Air Valve

Click this button to open the Air Valve. Click again to deactivate.
Warning:Compressed air will flow through the air valve.

COMPRESSED AIR SAFETY If used incorrectly compressed air can be dangerous and may cause serious injury or death. Never direct a stream of compressed air at any part of your body or the body of another person. Do not use compressed air to cool yourself down or to blow dust off your clothes. Ensure that the compressed air supply never exceeds 65psi (4.5bar).

When the air valve is open the button text will display in red. Click to deactivate.

Hot Knife

Hot Knife button

Click this button to heat the hot knife. Click again to deactivate.
Warning: the tool operates at high temperatures, ensure hands are clear and there is nothing obstructing the hot knife toolhead.

When the tool is activated the button text will display in red. Click to deactivate.

Hot Knife

Tool power output

Adjust the power setting to control the output power of the rotary tool or the hot knife. When the Rotary toolhead is connected it will adjust the speed it spins. When the Hot Knife toolhead is connected it will adjust the temperature of the knife.
Warning: these tools can cause harm, ensure hands are clear and there is nothing obstructing the toolhead.

The measurement of adjustment is a percentage of the full power setting of the tool.
